Can I submit more than one entry.

No. Make sure to pick your best story and submit that one. If you're inspired to write more, yes! Do it! (But, please don't submit it to the contest).

What if I don't have a blog?

Feel free to create one! Ciara uses weebly.com and Kaitlyn uses Wordpress.com.

If you don’t have a blog and don't want to create one, you may submit your entire story to the comments section on Ciara's Blog.

Can I use ANY gif?

You sure can! We'd like it to be spring-inspired, but that's it! (Make sure to give the creator credit if you don't create it yourself.)

What if my .gif doesn't work?

No worries, just put the link in your submission, and we can view it that way.

What do I do after I enter?

Go check out the other entries! Share, follow, comment, and like their blogs and stories.  Check out the #springflingkidlit hashtag on Twitter and interact (POSTIVELY please!) with other entrants! We LOVE supporting each other. And then, make sure to post reviews and buy books of the wonderful people offering prizes for the winners.

What if I go over 150 words?

You won't be eligible for the prizes, but we bet you still have an great story! One awesome part of this challenge is to figure out how to tell a story with such few words.

What's the origin story here? How did the Spring Fling Writing Contest come about?

In 2019, Ciara and Kaitlyn were both in a critique group that was really into writing contests. As they finished Susanna Hill's Valentiny contest and had completed their entries in preparation for Vivian Kirkfield's #50PreciousWords contest, their whole critique group was super bummed when they realized there wouldn't be one for Easter. Ciara brilliantly suggested they make their own writing contest and asked the group if they should have it for the group or open it up. Kaitlyn loves sharing, so she said, let's open it up! And here we are. 

Why isn't my story showing up in the display?

If your name is in the form, you're entered! If want to share your story, we definitely want you to, that's why we want you to post on your website to help bring people together. If you don't have a website, you can post it on Ciara's blog in the comments. Some people like to post on Twitter, too. The form dispaly would be too long if we showed all the stories. We have you paste your story so we have them all in one place for the judges, but we want you all to connect in the blog comments, your website, or on social media. Have fun connecting!

What if I need to use italics in my story and Google Forms changes the formatting?
