Micheal McClendon enters his 14th season as a college basketball coach, including his 2nd season at Springfield College.

McClendon takes over a Springfield College men's basketball program that has a deep and storied tradition.  For a program that dates back to 1905, McClendon is just the 15th head men's basketball coach at the Birthplace of Basketball and only the fifth since 1966.

McClendon also has an extensive amount of coaching experience at the grassroots level. Since 2008, McClendon has been the co-director of the AAU program, Pure Basketball, based out of Green Brook Township, New Jersey.
