Feastival 2025 Timetable

Key Events (all ages)

🟢11:00 – The Feastival Opens

🦗11:00-12:30 – Bug Tasting

• Try some alternative protein in this workshop run by Swiss Insects!

🧑‍🍳11:05 – Lunch Preparation Volunteers Meet Outside Secondary Cafeteria

• Applicable for those who also got a food preparation volunteer ticket when buying a lunch ticket on the TicketTailor

🌿11:30-12:15 – Foraging Balade (1st slot)

• A balade around the campus with interactive elements led by foraging expert Jardin Herbolaria

• Meet at the foraging stand at the start-time to join in (see Map or ask on the day if you don't know where)! 

🍽️13:00-14:30 – Lunch and Warm Data Lab

• Lunch tickets must have been pre-purchased; otherwise, a zero-waste packed lunch must be brought as no meal is available to buy on the day

• A warm data lab is an activity to encourage transcontextual exchanges and interrelationships that help us understand the complex systems associated with the environment and food

🌿14:45-15:30 – Foraging Balade (2nd slot)

• A second iteration of the balade around the campus with interactive elements led by foraging expert Jardin Herbolaria

• Meet at the foraging stand at the start-time to join in (see Map or ask on the day if you don't know where)! 

🔴16:00 – The Feastival Closes

Kids' Activites

🟢11:00-11:30 – Arrivals to Secondary EcoGarden

🗺️11:30-12:30 –  EcoGarden Tours + Guided Treasure Hunt (1st Slot)

• Meet at Secondary Eco Garden's Willow Dome to begin

• Neil -   Tour of EcoGardens and Wilding Areas (providing help with Treasure Hunt clues)

• Edwina - stationed in Primary -  to talk about - what grows best in the gardens, her plans for the farm this year, and what each class is planting, and what happens to all the produce!

• Gilly - stationed in Secondary - to talk about the history and ethos behind the Gardens

• There is a small prize offered for anyone who completes the hunt!

🦗12:30-13:00 – Insect Activities

•  Help build a bite-sized palace for bugs to have a taste of the good life.

• Then visit the Bug Tasting Table run by Swiss Insects, for a bite to eat before lunch.

• EcoGarden Tenders can assist

🍽️ 13:00-14:30 – LUNCH

• An opportunity for a 2nd Treasure Hunt Tour (or for self-guided tour of the grounds).

• Visit the wildlife ambulance (before or after meal)

🗺️13:45-14:30 – Guided Treasure Hunt (2nd Slot)

• Meet at Secondary Eco Garden's Willow Dome to begin

• There is a small prize offered for anyone who completes the hunt!

🌱14:30-15:30 – Let's Get Planting! 

• Transplant Seedlings from Greenhouse 

• Plant in Beds / Earmarked Perimeters 

• Build Supporting Structures

• Start in Secondary EcoGarden (with Gilly), then splinter off and move to Primary (with Neil/Edwina) / Rewilding Areas (with Heather)
