This 11-day, 10-night tour is designed exclusively for owners and enthusiasts of the iconic Jaguar E-Type and Jaguar XK Club. The tour begins with smooth drives through Castile’s open landscapes toward the majestic Sierra de Gredos, where winding mountain roads and panoramic views welcome you to the heart of Spain.
From there, visit the renowned De Sousa organic foie gras farm, home to the world’s finest ethical foie.
A drive to the south through the surreal, mineral-rich landscapes of Río Tinto, arriving at the Atlantic shores of Punta Umbría for a scenic coastal drive in true Jaguar style. Discover the natural wonder of the Gruta de las Maravillas in Aracena, before visiting a traditional 5J Jamón Ibérico (Spanish Ham) estate for a private tasting in the heart of the pasture.
In Mérida, walk through centuries of history with a guided tour of Roman ruins, temples, and theaters that speak of ancient grandeur. The tour also includes a private wine tasting at a prestigious bodega, before heading north to board the ferry.
This is not just a tour—it’s a tribute to the art of travel, Spanish culture, and the pure pleasure of driving not just a vehicle, a true classic.

On the first day, participants will meet at the Castilla Termal Olmedo 4*, a stunning hotel built within a 12th-century monastery.
Surrounded by serenity and elegance, it's the perfect setting to unwind after a short drive from the port of Santander to the heart of Castile.
In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with all tour participants, where you'll be introduced to the route with a quick tour briefing and where you will receive the welcome packs and road books by Classics on the Road staff.
Today, the adventure truly begins behind the wheel.
Departing from Olmedo, we head south in our Jaguars, driving through the majestic landscapes of the Sierra de Gredos and descending into the lush Valle del Tiétar. These roads offer the perfect mix of sweeping curves, mountain air, and breathtaking views—an unforgettable driving experience.
As the tour crosses into Extremadura, the scenery shifts to rolling plains and golden light. Our destination is the historic town of Trujillo, where the Parador de Trujillo 4*, a 16th-century convent turned into an elegant hotel, welcomes us.
In the evening, a group dinner is at the hotel where we will stay for one night.
Today the tour leave the main roads behind and embraces the pleasure of pure driving. We will drive to the south along quiet, secondary roads, winding through unspoiled countryside and timeless villages.
Our destination is a unique gastronomic highlight: the Patería de Sousa, home to the world’s most prestigious organic foie gras. We’ll enjoy an exclusive visit and tasting lunch at the estate.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Aracena, a charming Andalusian town nestled in the Sierra de Aracena, known for its whitewashed streets, artisanal gastronomy, and surrounded by natural beauty.
The accommodation selected for the next three nights is the Hotel Convento Aracena & Spa 4*, a beautifully restored 17th-century convent. In the evening, the dinner is at the same hotel.
Today’s route is nothing short of spectacular.
We drive from the charming town of Aracena, winding through picturesque countryside, toward the unique landscapes of Río Tinto. Known for its striking red earth and otherworldly terrain, this area will captivate you with its surreal beauty.
After a scenic drive, we stop for a delightful lunch in Punta Umbría, enjoying fresh, local seafood along the Atlantic coast.
Tonight the day ends with a group dinner at the same hotel in Aracena.
Today is a day to unwind and explore the charming town of Aracena at your leisure.
The tour will visit the Gruta de las Maravillas, one of the most spectacular cave systems in Spain, known for its crystal-clear underground pools and impressive rock formations. The cave offers a magical journey into the heart of the earth.
The rest of the day is free for your to enjoy the tranquil beauty of Aracena’s streets, discovering local shops and cafés, or simply relaxing.
In the evening, a dinner at the hotel will be scheduled, where we’ll toast to another memorable day of the tour.
Today we set off for the charming town of Almonaster la Real, driving through the scenic landscapes of Extremadura.
The road takes us to the legendary 5J Jamón Ibérico estate, where we’ll experience the heart of Spain's culinary tradition. Wander through the lush dehesa, home to the famous Iberian pigs, and enjoy an exclusive guided tour and tasting of the world-renowned 5J Jamón (Spanish Ham), a true delicacy of the region.
After the visit, we continue on route to Mérida, a city brimming with Roman history. We arrive at the historic Parador de Mérida, the hotel chosen for the next two nights.
In the evening, the group will enjoy a group dinner at the Parador.
After breakfast, today we will explore the rich history of Mérida with a guided visit to two of its most iconic Roman monuments: the Theatre and the Amphitheatre. These impressive archaeological sites offer a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Roman life in Hispania.
After the visit, the rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at your own pace—whether you choose to wander through the charming streets, relax at a café, or visit more local landmarks.
In the evening, we’ll meet for a group dinner and spend the night at the elegant Parador de Mérida.
We begin our day behind the wheel of our Jaguars, setting off from Mérida and heading north through some of Spain’s most captivating natural landscapes. Our first major highlight is Monfragüe National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve known for its dramatic cliffs, dense Mediterranean forest, and rich birdlife, including the iconic griffon vultures and imperial eagles.
From there, the road winds through the stunning Jerte Valley, famous for its lush greenery and, in spring, the breathtaking spectacle of cherry blossoms blanketing the hillsides.
Sierra de Gredos will be the last stop on today´s route and the stay will be at the historic Parador de Gredos, the very first Parador ever established in Spain, nestled in the heart of the mountains. A group dinner is programmed at the same hotel.
After a peaceful morning in the Sierra de Gredos, we start our engines to enjoy a drive to the historic town of Lerma, in the province of Burgos. The route will takes us through diverse landscapes—from rugged mountain passes to the wide-open plains of Castilla—offering another day of driving pleasure in our Jaguars.
Along the way, we make a special stop at a renowned winery nestled in the heart of one of Spain’s celebrated wine regions. There, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the facilities, learning about the winemaking process and the traditions. The visit culminates with a wine tasting with a selection of regional tapas.
In the afternoon, we continue to Lerma, a town steeped in history and elegance. Upon arrival, the stay tonight will be at the magnificent Parador de Lerma, housed in a 17th-century ducal palace that overlooks the Arlanza River. The day ends with a group dinner at the same hotel.
Our final day on the road invites us to enjoy the pure pleasure of driving as we take unknown secondary roads through northern Spain. This route, carefully chosen for its scenic beauty and minimal traffic, winds through picturesque villages, lush green landscapes, and tranquil countryside—a perfect setting for one last day behind the wheel of our Jaguars.
In your road books, there will be recommended stops to admire the views, or grab a coffee in charming rural spots that feel untouched by time. It’s a day to savour the road and your classic cars.
Today´s final destination is the spa resort of Puente Viesgo, nestled in the verdant hills of Cantabria. After some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings—or perhaps indulge in the spa.
A farewell dinner is programmed to celebrate the tour we’ve shared and the unforgettable experiences along the way.
After breakfast, the tour comes to an end.
Please note that the return ferry to the UK is scheduled to depart from Santander at 14:00, based on the 2025 timetable. This may be subject to change in 2026, so please check the schedule in advance.
The port is approximately half hour from the Puente Viesgo hotel, so plan your departure accordingly.
