Dear MOU partners,
Over the years, we have been hosting short-term intensive language programs. This year, we continue our successful subsidy program with the Taiwanese Ministry of Education from last year. For a 2-week program, students can receive a total of TW$12,000 in cash. It will help relieve the financial burden of MOU students who want to spend a 2-week stay in March 2027 and learn Taiwanese Mandarin with us. 15 students are the minimum requirement for the subsidy application with the Taiwanese MOE. We would like to invite you to help spred the news to potential students.
Qualifications:
A Japanese university student currently attending a university in Japan.
An international student currently attending a Japanese university. Please note that if you are a national of a country in this URL, you are unable to obtain the visa. Therefore, you are unable to attend the program.
Age: at least 16.
How the subsidy works:
Pay the full price first, and receive the subsidy as described below.
Come to Taipei and join the language program.
Receive the first subsidy, TW$6000, in cash on Monday next week with full attendance in the previous week's language class 15 hours.
Receive the second subsidy on Friday afternoon on the same principle. A total of TW$12,000.
With 15-hour full language class attendance in the previous week,
receives the first subsidy on March 15th and 19th, the second.
FAQs
When will I know if I am on the subsidy roster?
December 8, 2026.
Do I need a Taiwan bank account to receive the subsidy?
No. You will receive the subsidy in cash when you have a weekly attendance record of 15 hours in the language class.
What level of students can join the program?
Students at beginner and intermediate levels. Beginners can be someone who has never learned the language before or has learned a little bit.
Do I have to take a placement test?
If your learning hours are more than 50, you will receive an online placement test package via email. You should complete the test on the designated date.
How do you operate the shuttle service?
Group shuttle service on March 7th only. No individual. We do several pickups a day at TPE Airport or TSA Airport. Students arriving at approximate times are picked up as a group. Early or late arrivals, other than March 7th, should report to the program on their own. They should notify the cetner about their arrival dates. The same rules apply to departure drop-offs.
How long does it take from the hotel to school?
About 5 minutes' walk to the bus stop from the hotel. Another 15 minutes to the school.
Is it easy to get meals?
Yes, it's easy. 士shì 林lín night market is close to the hotel. You have plenty to select. Or you can have some meals at the school canteen.
