Sprague Robotics VS. CTEC

The Sprague Robotics Club participates in the FIRST organization which is the same organization as the CTEC FRC team. FRC (First Robotics Competition) is a larger robot with fewer restrictions but a much shorter build time. FTC (First Tech Challenge) teams have from September until January to complete a build as well as do modifications after they move on to the next level. FRC teams have a 6 week, very intense build time, and can do minimal modifications if they move on.

FTC participants are generally involved in other activities like sports, band, orchestra, part-time jobs, whereas it is challenging to do those things and compete with the CTEC FRC team at the same time. Both are a great experience if you are interested in programming and building.
