I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Child Health at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and joined the Gender Support Program at Phoenix Children’s in December 2020. I earned my doctorate in psychology from Arizona State University. I completed a predoctoral internship at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and a postdoctoral residency in pediatric psychology at Phoenix Children's Hospital. My clinical work focuses on serving gender diverse children, adolescents, and young adults. I also partner with medical colleagues in other divisions to support the health and wellbeing of children with chronic health conditions. My research focuses on ways to expand access to effective care. I served as founding Research Chair of the Gender Health special interest group (12/2020-08/2022). I have been involved in the adaptation, implementation, and dissemination of evidence-based, family-focused programs since 2013 and am now site-PI on a hybrid-Type 2 study of the Parent Support Program, an online intervention aimed at increasing parental support among parents and caregivers of transgender and gender expansive youth.

I am a Staff Psychologist in the UCLA Department of Medicine and the founding psychologist for the UCLA Gender Health Program. In this role, I provide consultation, assessment, and therapy to gender diverse individuals of all ages. I am also the psychologist for the UCLA clinic serving youth and adults with differences of sex development.
My clinical and research interests include affirmative care to gender diverse children, adolescents, and adults, youth with differences of sex development/intersex traits, the delivery of evidence-based behavioral health services in primary care settings, and supporting youth and young adults with transitioning from pediatric to adult health care.

I am a licensed psychologist and assistant professor in the Institute for Sexual and Gender Health at the University of Minnesota. I specialize in providing affirming assessment, therapy, and support for gender diverse youth and young adults. I bring extensive experience working with gender diverse youth and young adults in outpatient and medical settings, frequently collaborating with providers in healthcare and in the community to address social and structural factors impacting the overall health and well-being of this population. My research broadly focuses on working towards health equity for gender diverse youth and young adults, with particular focus on improving access to affirming healthcare and fostering community and resilience. I received my PhD in clinical child psychology from the University of Kansas and completed a clinical and research postdoctoral fellowship in the Gender & Sex Development Program at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. I also received a graduate certificate in LGBT Health Policy and Practice from George Washington University.

I am a senior postdoctoral fellow with the Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist Program in the Department of Pediatrics, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. I am also a registered psychologist with the Complex Pain Service at BC Children's Hospital, and have a small private practice in medical psychology. I completed my doctorate at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a predoctoral internship at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. I have a long-standing research interest in the role of gender and sex in pediatric psychology, and increasing health equity in pediatric pain care, particularly for gender diverse and autistic youth. I am passionate about extending the fantastic work being done in gender health to other areas of pediatric psychology and am excited to take on the role of Research Chair for the Gender Health SIG!

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Sexual and Gender Health where I provide assessment and therapy services to gender diverse children, adolescents, and young adults and contribute to research projects aiming to ameliorate health disparities and promote well-being among LGBTQ+ youth, particularly youth of color. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University, with an emphasis on cultural humility and community-driven approaches. I completed clinical externships at Children’s National in Integrated Primary Care, HIV Mental Health Services, and the Gender and Autism Program. I completed my predoctoral clinical internship at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in pediatric psychology working with various pediatric populations, and in the Gender Support Program. I have a clinical and research interest in the intersection of neurodiversity and gender diversity.
