SPOT – SERP Pack Opportunity Tracker ("SPOT", "we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome extension that helps users analyse Google Search results and webpages by displaying SEO metrics, keyword opportunities, heading structure, indexing information, local SEO insights, and technical SEO data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed, how it is used, and how we protect user privacy.
SPOT analyses Google Search result pages and webpages selected by the user to provide SEO insights.
Depending on the feature being used, the extension may send the following information to authorised third-party services:
The webpage URL being analysed
The domain name being analysed
The search keyword entered by the user (for autocomplete features)
Text manually entered or explicitly selected by the user only when the optional NLP analysis feature is used
This information is transmitted solely to generate the SEO analysis requested by the user.
SPOT does not collect, store, sell, or share:
Names
Email addresses
Passwords
Payment information
Phone numbers
Personal messages
Contacts
Login credentials
Financial information
Health information
User accounts
Personal identity information
SPOT is designed to analyse websites, not users.
SPOT stores extension preferences and settings locally using Chrome Storage.
These settings remain within the user's browser and are used only to improve the extension's functionality.
To provide SEO analysis, SPOT communicates with authorised third-party services, including:
Google PageSpeed Insights API
Google Chrome UX Report API
Google Autocomplete
Google Natural Language API (only when the user explicitly requests NLP analysis)
Ahrefs API
RDAP services
Internet Archive (Wayback Machine)
These services are used only to retrieve SEO-related information requested by the user.
Use of these services is subject to their own privacy policies.
SPOT does not sell user data.
SPOT does not use collected information for advertising.
SPOT does not transfer user information to third parties except as necessary to retrieve SEO metrics from the authorised services listed above.
SPOT is designed to minimise the amount of information transmitted.
Only the information necessary to provide the requested SEO analysis is sent to authorised third-party services.
No personal information is intentionally collected or stored.
Users control when the extension is used.
The optional NLP feature sends text for analysis only when the user manually enters or selects text and explicitly requests NLP analysis.
The extension does not automatically analyse or transmit page text for NLP processing.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect improvements to the extension or changes in legal requirements.
