About Directorate of Physical Education and Sports

The Directorate of Physical Education and Sports in The Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University is recognized by the U.G.C. under 2(f) of the U.G.C. Act. It has started its activities from the academic year 2017-18. The Directorate is conducting University Athletic Meet Annually for the benefits of students and faculty. The Directorate focuses not only on physical well being of the students but also integral transformational learning by conducting various competitions like Chess, Yoga Practice etc. Students of the University are actively taking part in Inter-School competitions and All India Inter-University competitions. Right now, the activities are carried out by Dr. Veereshkumar B. Vijapur, as Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports.
