Technology, sports, and art are all forms of entertainment which can be controlled and exploited.
Throughout this unit, we have been reading Chain-Gang All-stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, and Biography of X by Catheran Lacey. In the first book people are put in jail against each other for entertainment for their freedom, they use magnetic cuffs and shock collars to control the people in the prisons. In the second, the purpose of art is that its a tool for self invention, political defiance, and control. In both, people go against the government to produce change in their society.
