Sportash helps users discover and join sports events, record match results, verify outcomes, vote MVP, and track ratings. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide:

• Account data from sign-in (name, email, profile photo)

• Profile information

• Event data (created/joined events, participants, match results, verifications, MVP votes)

• Disputes and related notes/reasons

• TrustScore-related activity connected to event participation

Device and Technical Information:

• Authentication/session data via Firebase Authentication

• Push notification token/data (for Firebase Cloud Messaging)

• Optional location permission (to show nearby events)

• Location search queries (when using location search)

• Basic app/network logs required for service operation and security

How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: Sign you in securely using Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication

• Core app functionality: Enable event participation, match verification, MVP voting, ratings, leaderboard, and profile features

• Location-based experience: Show events near you when location permission is granted

• Notifications: Send event/verification/MVP reminders via push notifications

• Integrity and safety: Support fairness and abuse prevention (including TrustScore and dispute workflows)

• Service operations: Maintain reliability, debug issues, and improve app performance

Data Storage & Security

• Sportash data is processed through the Sportash backend and database infrastructure

• Authentication and push messaging are handled through Firebase services

• We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data

• No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take appropriate steps to reduce risk

Third-Party Services

• Firebase Authentication (Google): Sign-in and identity verification

• Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notification delivery

• Google Sign-In: Account login flow

• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim: Location search and place lookup

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data.

Sportash currently handles privacy requests manually (no in-app self-service privacy tools yet).

Children's Privacy

Sportash is not intended for users under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
