The closest international airport to Aveiro is Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, in Porto.
When disembarking in Porto, just take a metro to the Porto-Campanhã train station. Trains depart from Campanhã to Aveiro - the cheapest and most frequent is the Urbano line.

But, if you disembark in Lisbon, you can also come by train. From Humberto Delgado Airport just take a metro to Lisboa-Oriente station and from there take the train - Alfa Pendular or Intercidades - to Aveiro.

Walking in Aveiro
The central area of the city of Aveiro is quite small. And our university is located in this area, just a 20-minute walk from the city center and a 30-minute walk from the train station. Unlike some Portuguese cities, Aveiro has no slopes, being quite flat, which makes walking easy (and if you have some free time in the city, take a bike ride - there is a free municipal loan program right next to the Municipal Market Manuel Firmino).
