This Privacy Policy describes how SpoolSmart ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the SpoolSmart mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Information We Collect
SpoolSmart is designed with privacy in mind. All data you enter into the App including filament inventory, print logs, printer profiles, and settings is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (SQLite). We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any external server.
The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use its core features.
Camera and Photos
SpoolSmart requests access to your device's camera solely to scan barcodes on filament spools. The camera is only activated when you initiate a barcode scan. No images or video are transmitted or stored by us.
You may also optionally attach photos to spool records. These photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared without your explicit action (e.g., using the export feature).
Push Notifications
SpoolSmart may send local push notifications to alert you when filament stock is running low. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers or third-party notification services.
Third-Party Services
a) RevenueCat
SpoolSmart uses RevenueCat to process in-app purchases. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat may collect transaction-related information as required to process and validate the purchase. Please review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy for details.
b) Amazon Associates
SpoolSmart includes affiliate links to Amazon.com to help you reorder filament. When you tap a reorder link, you are taken to Amazon's website or app. Amazon may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policy. SpoolSmart earns a small commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.
c) Spoolman Integration
If you choose to use the optional Spoolman server integration, the App will connect to a server address you provide. All communication is initiated by you and occurs directly between your device and your own server. We do not have access to your Spoolman server or its data.
Data Storage and Security
All App data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your data and cannot recover it if your device is lost, reset, or the App is deleted. We recommend using your device's built-in backup features to protect your data.
Children's Privacy
SpoolSmart is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
