30 March 2020 - Packed and Started a trial run today.

30 March 2020 - 35 Grocery kits distributed to Construction workers at Indiranagar - sponsored by Rotary Indiranagar

30 March 2020 - 15 Grocery kits distributed to daily wage workers at Indiranagar - sponsored by Rotary Indiranagar

31 March 2020 - Distributed 10 kits today to help 10 families in interior Kamakshi Palya, stranded without jobs, with kids in a small colony.

1 April 2020 - kits delivered to 50 families today at KR Puram & Indiranagar

5 April 2020 - Total 800 kits delivered till now. 135 kits planned to be delivered today.

8 April 2020 - Total 1,435 kits distributed till now

10 April 2020 - Total 1,950 kits distributed till now. We have identified rural pockets of Bangalore from Kengeri to Magadi, where over 2000 families are stranded, who all are daily wage workers, many of them, women above 40 years of age in large numbers. These are migrated from across North Karnataka, Native ones & and other states.

2020-04-12 - 30 kits distributed to Labourers at Regiment campus

2020-04-13 - 50 kits distributed to migrant workers and slum dwellers at Jumboo Savari Dinne, JP Nagar with help of Police and Dream India, Charitable Trust.

2020-04-14 - 40 kits distributed to families stranded in interior peenya. Ms. Megha volunteering in this. Some of them had been starving for a week. 50 kits distributed in Kanakapura road

2020-04-16 - We contributed 100 kits to migrant, unorganized sector daily wagers in different areas scattered in Pillaganahalli -off Bannerghatta Road, Saraswathipuram -Hulimavu ,and Gottigere. Our heartfelt gratitude to Rtn. Rashmi Tanksali for helping us identifying the area. It is a very much interior location and no help had reached them. many handicapped people got benefitted.

2020-04-17 - today Devabisanahalli, Near Bellandur. Distributed over 250 grocery kits, of which, from Shanthiniketan 50 kits were contributed.

2020-04-19 - 50 kits distributed at Attibele Sarjapura. Led by Rtn. Sridhar B R to stranded construction workers' families. Rotary Club of Attibele Sarjapura helped deliver it to verified beneficiaries.

2020-04-20 - Rtn. Yogita distributing 25 grocery kits to migrant construction workers in Whitefield/Kadugodi in Bangalore. These workers had moved to Bangalore just before the lockdown, and have been struggling since then with no work.

2) What are the Areas covered ?

Bannerghatta Road - near hulimavu, Jumbo savari Banashankari, villages on mysore road just outside Bangalore limits.

3) How are the beneficiaries chosen ?

Our partner clubs - Rotary Shankara Park, Rotary Sneha, Rotary Vijayanagara, Rotary Attibele Sarjapur and Project Durga have setup a process in place to identify deserving beneficiaries. These are daily wage workers, Cart Vendors, Road side vendors, Construction workers etc . Till now 1900 beneficiaries have been identified. This is an ongoing process. Local Rotary clubs of those areas, panchayat members help us to know if any help has reached these locations. Local police stations have been very helpful during distribution and also to know if anyone else is helping in those areas. Any politician or local charity organizations take help of police and so they know the situation on the ground very well.


4) What is the total target ?

Currently we have a capacity to cater to 2500 beneficiaries, out of which funds for 1900 has been raised


5) How do I know that the funds are not being misused?

Rotary - as an organization has always been on the forefront of service to the community. Every member is a person of highest integrity and standing in the society. In fact, it is a matter of principle for us to make sure that all the funds collected for social service is utilized with the highest efficiency possible. Rotarians volunteer their personal time and resources to ensure that funds are utilized in the best way possible. We will be sharing progress and other details at this webpage transparently.
