Two ways to do it: from inside the app, or by writing to us. Both remove the same things.
The quickest way, and it takes effect immediately.
Open Unspend and go to Settings.
Tap your name to open your profile.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm. Your account is removed and this phone is cleared.
If you have uninstalled the app, lost the phone, or would rather we did it, write to us from the address you signed up with:

Put Delete my account in the subject. We will confirm once it is done, normally within 7 days and always within 30.
We ask you to write from the address on the account because that address is the only thing identifying it — there is no password and no other record of who you are.
From our server, permanently:
Your account — the email address and the name you gave
Any household you created, and the invitations belonging to it
Your membership of anybody else's household
Whatever a household manager had shared with your phone
From your phone, at the same time: your subscriptions, the people and payment methods you added, your settings, and your activity history. All of that only ever lived on the device.
Deleting from the app clears the phone you are holding. If you signed in on a second phone, delete from that one too, or use the email route and tell us.
Your actual subscriptions. Unspend never had any connection to Netflix, Spotify or your bank — it only ever kept a list. Cancel those with the services themselves.
Other people's households. If somebody else added you to theirs, your seat goes, but their household and their own data stay.
Automated database backups, briefly. Our database provider keeps rolling backups for disaster recovery; a copy may persist there until those rotate, within 30 days. They are not readable by the app and are never restored to undo a deletion.
There is no recovery window and no archive to restore from. If you want to keep your list, use Settings → Backup & sync to save a file before you delete — that file stays with you, and we never see where it goes.
