SpokenNest does not directly collect personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email address, phone number, or home address. However, to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the app, certain technical and diagnostic information may be automatically collected by trusted third-party services, including Google Firebase. SpokenNest is an intuitive learning app focused on improving your spoken English skills through practical rules and real-life examples — all explained with clear Bangla translations. Whether you're just starting out or aiming to sharpen your speaking fluency, SpokenNest offers structured lessons, pronunciation, and quizzes to support your journey from basic to advanced levels.
SpokenNest does not collect any personal data directly from users.
However, to improve your experience and ensure app stability, the app uses third-party services that may collect certain technical and usage information automatically, including but not limited to:
Device information: such as device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers (non-personally identifiable).
Usage data: including app sessions, screen views, and interaction events to help understand app usage patterns.
Network information: such as IP addresses and connection type for security and performance monitoring.

Advertising ID and Attribution Services: SpokenNest does not use the Advertising ID or any attribution APIs for tracking, personalization, or advertising purposes. Although some system permissions—such as access to the Advertising ID or AdServices Attribution APIs—may be automatically requested by Google Play Services, the app itself neither accesses, stores, nor processes this data in any way. No personalized advertising or ad targeting is performed by SpokenNest.

Google Play Integrity: SpokenNest uses Google Play Integrity through Firebase App Check to verify that requests originate from a genuine, untampered version of the application. This helps protect the app against abuse, automated attacks, and unauthorized access. Google Play Integrity is used solely to verify the integrity and authenticity of the application. SpokenNest does not use the information provided by Google Play Integrity to identify individual users.

Search Feature and User Interaction Data
SpokenNest includes a search feature that allows users to search words and verbs locally within the app. This search data is processed and filtered entirely on the user's device and is not collected, stored, or shared with any third-party services or servers.
While SpokenNest uses Firebase Analytics to collect general app interaction data (such as button clicks, screen navigation), it does not track or store users' specific search queries or search history.
SpokenNest may send push notifications to keep you informed about new lessons, app updates, and important announcements. To deliver these notifications, the app requests your permission to receive notifications on your device.
You have full control over notification permissions and can choose to enable or disable them at any time via your device settings.
The app does not collect or store any personal data through push notifications.
Notifications are delivered using Firebase Cloud Messaging, which may collect limited device information as described above.
External Links and Email
The app may open external websites (such as the privacy policy page, social media pages, or app store listings) and email clients using the device’s default browser or mail app. These external services are not controlled by the app developer and have their own privacy policies and data handling practices. Any data shared through these external services is subject to their own terms and conditions, not this privacy policy.
SpokenNest does not use cookies for data collection. However, third-party services may use cookies to enhance their functionality and performance.
The app prioritizes data security:
Sensitive application content and encryption keys are protected using industry-standard encryption techniques and Android secure storage mechanisms.
Offline access is supported using secure temporary caching.
Security practices are regularly reviewed and updated to prevent unauthorized access.
For security reasons, sensitive keys used by the app are stored securely on the device for a limited period and are refreshed from a secure server when required. This helps protect the app's content and maintain application integrity.

Our backend securely stores limited usage metadata such as application instance IDs and request counts for the purpose of rate limiting and protecting app integrity. No personally identifiable information is collected or stored in this process.
Over-the-Air (OTA) Updates
We use Expo OTA updates to deliver new content and fixes securely over encrypted HTTPS connections. These updates happen only when you’re online and do not collect or transmit personal data.
SpokenNest does not collect any personal data from any users, including children under the age of 13. The app developer is committed to protecting children’s privacy and does not knowingly request or store any personal information from children.

To protect sensitive educational content, the app may restrict screen capture or screen recording on all screens. Sensitive keys are securely stored using platform-provided secure storage mechanisms (such as Android Keystore where available) to help prevent unauthorized access or tampering.
