Unity Electronic ("we," "our," or "us") operates the SplitQuick: Bill Splitter mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
SplitQuick is built on an offline-first architecture. All your groups, bills, expense splits, member names, payment categories, and debt calculation histories are saved locally on your device in a secure SQLite database. We do not access, sell, or rent your personal financial logs to third parties.
If you choose to use cloud backup and cross-device sync features, your group information and expense records are transmitted securely using industry-standard HTTPS encryption to Google Firebase servers. This data is used solely to keep your groups and balances synchronized across your authorized devices.
To provide SplitQuick as a free utility, the App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob.
Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous identifiers and diagnostic metrics to deliver, personalize, and measure ads. This includes:
Google Advertising ID (AAID).
IP address and coarse location (country/city level).
App interaction, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
European Economic Area (EEA) and UK Consent (GDPR / UMP)
For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, SplitQuick integrates Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK. This provides you with an explicit consent management dialog allowing you to accept, customize, or reject personalized advertising and data tracking.

SplitQuick facilitates peer-to-peer (P2P) debt settlement between friends and roommates by providing deep links to third-party payment platforms (such as PayPal.me).
No Financial Custody: SplitQuick is an expense calculator and ledger. SplitQuick is not a bank, payment processor, or money transmitter.
Zero Card/Banking Data Collected: SplitQuick never collects, stores, transmits, or processes credit card numbers, debit card details, bank account numbers, or payment credentials.
All financial transactions take place entirely inside the official third-party payment provider’s application or encrypted website under their respective terms of service and banking licenses.
SplitQuick includes an optional receipt scanning feature to extract line items and costs from paper receipts:
When you take a photo of a receipt or choose an image from your gallery, text extraction and image parsing are performed locally on your device.
We do not transmit or store your raw receipt photos on external marketing databases.
SplitQuick requests only the standard permissions necessary for core functionality:
Internet (INTERNET): Required for currency exchange rate updates, AdMob ad serving, and optional cloud synchronization.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used strictly for debt reminder alerts and settlement confirmations on Android 13+.
SplitQuick is a general audience utility intended for individuals aged 13 and older (and 18+ in jurisdictions requiring adult consent for financial tools). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
The security of your data is of paramount importance to us. SplitQuick employs standard cryptographic protocols, isolated Android app sandboxing, and secure HTTPS transport for all network communication.
