SplitMate: Bill Split & Track does not collect, transmit, or share

any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device. Full stop.

1. WHO WE ARE

SplitMate: Bill Split & Track is an offline bill-splitting and expense

tracking app developed by Backs Infotech ("we", "us", or "our"). It is available on

the Google Play Store.

2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

-----------------------

We collect nothing.

SplitMate: Bill Split & Track does not collect, transmit, store on a

server, or share any personal information. The app has no internet

connection, no user accounts, no analytics, no crash reporters, and no

third-party SDKs that gather data.

The only information that exists in SplitMate is what you type in — names,

bill amounts, group labels — and it is stored exclusively in the local

database on your device.

3. HOW YOUR DATA IS STORED

All app data (bills, groups, people, balances, activity history, and

preferences) is stored locally using Android's Room database and DataStore

APIs. This data:

- Never leaves your device

- Is not backed up to any cloud service by SplitMate

- Is not accessible to us or any third party

- Is deleted permanently when you clear app data or uninstall the app

4. PERMISSIONS

SplitMate: Bill Split & Track requests the following Android

permissions:

POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13 and above only)

Required to deliver local reminder notifications when you tap "Remind"

on a bill. This permission is requested at runtime and the app works

fully without it — reminders simply will not appear as notifications

if it is denied. No notification data is sent to any server.

The app also uses Android's built-in share sheet to send reminder messages.

This is handled entirely by your device's OS — SplitMate composes the text

and hands it to your chosen messaging app. We do not see, log, or transmit

the message content.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

SplitMate: Bill Split & Track does not integrate any third-party

services, including but not limited to:

- Analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)

- Advertising networks

- Crash reporting (Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)

- Cloud storage or sync

- Payment processors

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

SplitMate: Bill Split & Track does not collect personal information

from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected or

transmitted, the app is safe for all ages.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

--------------

Because no data leaves your device, you are in full control at all times.

Access: All your data is visible inside the app at any time.

Delete: Go to Settings → Clear All Data to wipe all bills, groups,

people, and activity history while keeping your preferences.

Alternatively, clear app data or uninstall the app via

Android Settings → Apps → SplitMate.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we ever update this policy, the new version will be posted on the app's

Play Store page with an updated effective date. Since the app collects no

data, any future changes would only occur if new features requiring

permissions are added — in which case we will clearly describe what is

collected and why.
