Spitha (Σπίθα), is the Greek word for "spark." Why spark? A spark is a small fiery particle which can be used to ignite a fire. Spitha Greek Dance Troupe has that spark, or Spitha, when we get together and dance. It is a time for enjoyment, laughter, happiness, and a way to get the community involved. We have a passion for learning Greek dances that are rich in Greek culture. With such a small spark, we can come together to spark a large flame filled with excitement and happiness. Before there was Spitha Dance Troupe, the idea of a dance troupe was just a spark. A spark which ignited into a reality. That's why.
