Mohsin Watto founded Spirit Para Sports Association to provide individuals with the opportunities he was given after his accident, which caused him to be an SCI patient. He has found health, happiness, and success through sports and community involvement. He is now a Canadian National Table Tennis Athlete and holds 40+ medals, awards, and achievements. His latest and greatest achievement is to start this Table Tennis Club, which provides coaching and training to individuals of all abilities! He understands the struggles and adversity for para athletes and hopes to bridge the financial and physical gap. He is working on finding sustainable ways to provide free opportunities to all para athletes!
At Spirit Table Tennis Club, we believe that the game of table tennis is a universal language that transcends physical boundaries. Our name represents the "Spirit" of resilience, determination, and community—qualities embodied by every athlete who steps up to the table.
We are deeply committed to fostering an environment where Para table tennis athletes can thrive without barriers. To support this mission, Spirit Table Tennis Club provides full access to our facilities and recreational play for all Para table tennis athletes free of cost and additional services at discounted rates.
We haven't just removed the financial barriers; we have removed the physical ones too! Our Recreational & Coaching Center is fully optimized to meet the specific needs of wheelchair athletes:
Dedicated Wheelchair Access: Our facility features a fully accessible entrance designed for easy entry and exit.
Compliant Playing Space: All of our table tennis tables are specifically selected and positioned to be fully wheelchair accessible, providing the necessary clearance for competitive and recreational play.
Spacious Layout: Our club is designed with wide aisles and open floor plans to ensure seamless movement throughout the center.
Accessible Amenities: We provide fully accessible washroom facilities to ensure comfort and dignity for all our members.
We recognize that finding a high-quality training environment that is both physically and financially accessible can be a challenge. By offering a purpose-built space and removing all fees for Para athletes, we aim to empower you to focus entirely on your growth, your health, and your passion for the game. At Spirit Table Tennis Club, excellence is measured by heart and effort, and we are honored to support those who play with the spirit of a champion.
