Founder, One Pissed Off Grandma | Family Court Reform Advocate | Licensed Principal Broker | Survivor & Truth-Teller
Ann Samuelson is a seasoned Oregon real estate broker, mother, and grandmother whose own experience in the family court and child welfare systems ignited her mission to bring truth, transparency, and accountability to a broken system.
After years of fighting to protect her grandchild, only to be falsely accused herself and silenced by the very agencies designed to protect children…Ann transformed her pain into purpose. She founded “One Pissed Off Grandma”, a grassroots movement encouraging family court victims to share their stories, expose injustice, and demand reform.
Ann is also a passionate supporter of Troxel II, a constitutional reform brief authored by Dan Sturtevant, Ph.D., which builds upon the landmark Troxel v. Granville decision. Troxel II outlines a framework for restoring due process, safeguarding civil rights, and holding family courts accountable to the Constitution.
Through her advocacy, Ann continues to unite families, legislators, and reformers around one truth:
“We can’t heal what we don’t reveal, and when we rise together, the system can no longer bury the truth.”
Susan Peik
She’s always been a curious one, wanting to understand, interested in the well-being of others and this world, believing we all have needed gifts to make a positive difference to leave this world better than we found it. With Heart as guide (but not on her sleeve), her path has included a variety of formal and inspired study, apprenticeship, lived experience, reflection, and integration. As seeker, advocate, catalyst, planner, healer, coach, writer, photographer, partner, friend, mother, dreamer, realist, and colleague, she aims to to be fully present, see and inspire the best, and build community with love and wisdom, for a kinder world where everyone can feel safe, loved, valued, has enough, support to explore the gifts they may still be discovering, and find a way to share the goodness.
An empath and entrepreneur with a keen eye for detail, needs, and connections, she parted ways with the corporate program to explore the larger landscapes inside and out as Life kept presenting new opportunities to do so. She’s applied herself in creative and humanitarian efforts, always with a bird’s eye perspective for our mind-body-spirit well-being and Earthly home. After more than one brush with mortality, she knows the unconditional love of pure Spirit, that there's far more to life than we’ve been led to believe, and has cultivated a deep appreciation for resurrection and the sacredness of Life, our mythopoetic evolution through lived experience, and awe for the variety of how it can manifest. After decades of traditional and non-traditional study in psychology, spirituality, human nature, the creative and healing arts, and trauma-informed life coaching, Susan knows better than to judge, and how to hold safe space to explore, find purpose, and ground it in community to facilitate a new sense of meaning and belonging.
Her work with those experiencing serious illness, recovering from abuse, and other pivotal situations, keeps her flame lit to recognize patterns, empower new awareness, fresh perspectives, positive connections, and understanding for new pathways, choices, and outcomes. Her unique blend of strength, gentleness, practicality, resiliency, and cooperative strategic leadership, complement Edenhaven's Mission, reminding us that every challenge is an opportunity for transformation, each one of us is a valuable thread in this grand tapestry of Life, and how much our gifts are needed from now onward.
Susan also loves transforming ordinary spaces into places of beauty, healing, and connection, by restoring and repurposing existing buildings and landscapes, exploring healthy alternatives, and is pretty handy with paint, plants, project plans, and power tools.
She remains curious and adores exploring this world, continues to be inspired by the beauty within and all around us, cherishes time with friends, family, pets, and community, celebrating with great food and conversation, and drawing wisdom from the earth as she grounds love with each step.
