FAQ

Do dogs stay in the house?

-Yes! We are cage free which means the dogs get to sleep anywhere in the house they want! The only place we don't allow them is our bed, but we will definitely set up beds in our room next to us!

Do you have a maximum number of dogs you take at a time?

-We are a small home based business built on the belief that dogs should be safe and comfortable when away from home. In order to make this happen, we keep our numbers small with a maximum of 10 dogs. 

Do you mix little and big breeds?

-We do not currently have a set up to separate breeds, however, because we are a family business, we ask that all dogs be socialized and good with all breeds and sizes. In the event that a dog is getting out of hand, they will never be separated from the pack to go spend time alone, however, they will be put on a leash to walk around with the group until they calm down. 

Do you allow early morning and late night drop offs?

-We are incredibly flexible for pickup and drop off times! We can have the gate open as early as 5 am and as late as midnight. Open and honest communication is always appreciated, if you can't make your drop off or pick up or need to make a change, we're just a text away!

Should we bring bowls, beds, treats, toys? 

-While we do have extra bowls here, its always best practice to provide their food bowl. I find dogs eat better out of their bowls. You can absolutely bring a bed, it's not necessary but if your buddy is more comfortable with a bed then yes! We do also have plenty of comfy spots in the house. Treats will not be dispensed if there are a lot of dogs as they can sometimes cause issues, you can bring them but please know that we often give belly rubs instead of treats if we deem the moment isn't going to be safe or enjoyable. Things that are given on a daily basis, i.e.; dentastix, will be given, your bud will just be separated inside from the group for a bit until they're done. 

Is there someone on site 24/7?

-Yes! Your dog will never be left alone, either myself, Melanie, or Scott, are on site at all times. 

What if my dog isn't used to horses?

-Luckily, both horses here are so used to dogs barking at them, they often will go stand somewhere the dogs can't see them. Dogs often join us to feed and we find usually within a couple days they settle down and no one really seems to care too much after that.

Do you allow puppies?

-We currently do not allow puppies under the age of 1 year. Puppies may be considered if appropriate training and socialization certifications can be provided. Unaltered dogs are subject to an extra $10/day as they are more work. Male and female unaltered dogs are never allowed on the property at the same time, this will come as a first come first serve booking. 

What if my dog destroys something or makes a massive mess?

-While we understand normal dog behavior, especially when they are away from home, excessively destructive and messy dogs may be subject to an additional cleaning fee of a maximum of $50. We will never ever surprise you with this, it will be an open, honest conversation. 

Do you offer private dog care? 

-We do offer private dog care if the dates are available. Private care is also subject to higher pricing. 

Do you offer private dog park services?

-We do! If we have other dogs here, we will keep them in the house with us while you and your buddy play!

Do you require deposits for stays?

-We do require a 25% deposit for stays 5 days or over. This is to be paid at the time of booking, an invoice will be provided reflecting the deposit paid. 

Do you have a cancellation policy?

-Deposits are non-refundable but may be subject to review.

Have you had or booked your meet and greet with Mel yet? All dogs must have prior approval and deposits before a stay will be accepted.
