Former SPI team members, Brian and Shannon, have embarked on an exciting new chapter, forming their own team, YOLO Paraventures. While no longer with SPI, they remain close to our hearts and continue their passion for the paranormal with a focus on investigations in Western Michigan. We wish them continued success on their journey.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our former team members who have retired from the Scientific Paranormal Investigations of Michigan. Their dedication, curiosity, and countless hours of work helped shape our team and further our mission to explore the unknown through a scientific lens. Though they've stepped away from active investigations, their legacy remains a vital part of who we are—and we're grateful that they continue to make themselves available when needed. We wish them all the best in this new chapter and thank them for their lasting impact on our journey.

Scientific Paranormal Investigations is dedicated to the scientific, logical, and objective approach to investigations into claims of paranormal activity. Our team takes a professional and scientific approach to all investigations, seeking to exclude any natural, environmental, or man-made causes for reported activity before making any determination regarding the paranormal. We are an all-volunteer organization comprised of members with varied backgrounds. Scientific Paranormal Investigations does not charge for its services, nor will we accept any form of payment for services rendered.
Scientific Paranormal Investigators will maintain strict confidance if our clients do not wish to be identified. Clients have the option of what is posted, if anything. All personal information, including names, addresses, and photos of clients are always removed.
Our primary goal is to provide support and assistance to anyone who suspect they may be experiencing the effects of paranormal activity.
Our secondary goal is to further the field of paranormal research by way of collection, research, analysis, and documentation of scientific data regarding alleged paranormal activity and comparing this data with a network of like-minded paranormal research groups world-wide to support the advancement of our field.
The origins of Scientific Paranormal Investigations of Michigan date back to 2008, when the group was first established. In 2012, the team entered a new era under the leadership of Sandi Pugh and Mike Priest, who redefined its mission and direction, laying the foundation for the dedicated and methodical approach we continue to follow today.
