Sarah received her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania where she also completed her postdoctoral training. She joined the Psychology Department at Binghamton University in 2024 where she is now an Assistant Professor in the Cognitive & Brain Sciences area. She aims to understand the flexibility of semantic cognition by exploring the structures that emerge during learning and subsequently support memory.

Sonya graduated from the University of Kansas in 2024 where she received degrees in Behavioral Neuroscience and Human Biology. Her previous research aimed at identifying the neural correlates of ASD behaviors. She is now studying the flexibility of semantic representations, and also coaches debate!

Steve graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2024 where he studied Cognitive Studies, Psychology, and Data Science. His previous research focused on integrating cognitive and educational psychology to support student learning. He is very excited to learn computational and neuroimaging techniques in the context of semantic memory!

Kate graduated from Case Western Reserve in 2025 where she studied Cognitive Science and Biology with specialties in computational cognitve science and neurobiology. Her previous work was on large corpus linguistics and machine learning. She joined the SPiNS lab to learn more about fMRI and behavioral study techniques and explore semantic representations!
