This Privacy Policy explains how Spinly (“the Application”) collects, uses, and protects user information. By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Application: Spinly
Company / We / Us: Spinly
Service: The Application and its related services (including any cloud features, if applicable)
You / User: Anyone who accesses or uses the Application
Personal Data: Information that can identify an individual (e.g., email address, name)
Usage Data: Data collected automatically during usage
Country of Operation: Turkey
Currently, Spinly is designed to work primarily offline. However, if we introduce account or cloud-sync features in the future, certain features (such as saving custom questions to the cloud or sharing them) may require you to sign in. In such cases, we may use third-party authentication services (like Firebase Authentication provided by Google) to manage user accounts. If you choose to sign in, we may collect and store:
Email address: To uniquely identify your account.
Display Name: As provided by your sign-in provider (e.g., Apple or Google).
User ID: A unique identifier associated with your account.
We do not access or store your password, as authentication is handled securely by third-party providers (Apple, Google).
We may collect information that your device sends whenever you use the Application. This Usage Data may include:
Device model and operating system version
App version
Diagnostic data (e.g., crash logs, performance metrics) collected via analytics tools (like Firebase Crashlytics) to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
Spinly allows you to create custom "Truth" or "Dare" questions. By default, this data is stored locally on your device. If you use any future cloud features to save or share your questions, the content of those questions may be stored in our cloud database (e.g., Cloud Firestore). Local-only data remains entirely on your device.
We use the collected data to:
Provide and maintain the Service: Ensuring the app functions correctly and securely on your device.
Authenticate users: Verifying your identity to prevent unauthorized access (if cloud accounts are used).
Monitor and analyze usage: Using aggregated data to understand how the app is used and to ensure stability.
Fix technical issues: Using crash reports to identify and repair bugs.
Communicate: Sending important service updates or security notices.
We do not sell your Personal Data. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers: We may use third-party companies to facilitate our Service, such as Google Firebase. They have access to your data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Authentication Providers: We may integrate with Apple (Sign in with Apple) and Google (Google Sign-In) to authenticate users.
Business Transfers: If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
Personal Data: We retain your account information as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time within the Application settings, which will delete your Personal Data and associated cloud data from our servers.
Usage Data: Retained for a shorter period for analysis purposes.
Local Data: Data stored only on your device (such as your custom questions) remains there until you delete it or uninstall the app.
The security of your data is important to us. We use industry-standard security measures provided by our service partners (such as encryption in transit and at rest) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Your information, including Personal Data, may be processed on servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction—specifically on global server infrastructures provided by companies like Google—where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. By using the Application, you consent to this transfer.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
