Welcome to the First Annual Volleyball Tournament supporting Team B Strong in the Breakthrough T1D Walk!
Team B Strong was created in honor of our son, Braylon, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) in December 2024. When we first received his diagnosis, Breakthrough T1D, known as JDRF at the time, was there for us. They provided guidance and some of the first supplies we needed to help manage Braylon’s new condition, including books and a T1D teddy bear to help explain it to him.
This tournament is our way of giving back so that other newly diagnosed families can receive those same life-changing resources and support. Our fundraising goal is $1,213, a number that represents December 13, the day Braylon was diagnosed and the day our lives changed forever. Additional donations can be made at www2.breakthrought1d.org/goto/BStrong.
For us, this event is about more than just fundraising. It’s about awareness, community, and hope. November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and November 14 marks World Diabetes Day, a time to come together, raise awareness, and support the 1.4 million Americans living with Type 1 Diabetes.
We’re excited to combine our love for volleyball with a cause that means so much to our family. Thank you for being part of this event, standing with Team B Strong, and helping us move one step closer to a world without Type 1 Diabetes.
Thank you to our tournament sponsors!
