LEARNING RESOURCE for PHYSICAL EDUCATION
LEARNING RESOURCE for PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Welcome to this Spikeball teaching resource hub designed for Physical and Health Education teachers working with middle or high school learners. This site provides a collection of materials developed from sample Spikeball lessons delivered to a Grade 8 class in a local middle school. The resource features a progressive set of skill-development stations, an edited highlight video from a live workshop, and a reflective analysis of instructional strategies.
The goal of this resource is to support meaningful, inclusive, and tactically rich net/wall lessons grounded in a Play-Practice-Play pedagogical approach (Hopper & Rhoades, 2023) and aligned with the BC Curriculum’s emphasis on physical literacy and learning through active engagement. These materials can also serve as an effective bridge into volleyball or other net/wall games such as pickleball or tennis.
