Dr. Umesh Kumar Tiwari received the B. Sc. & M.Sc. (Electronics & Communication) degrees from Bhopal University, and Institute of Physics and Electronics, Bhopal India in 1997 and 1999 respectively. Dr. Tiwari received his M. Tech. degree in Opto-electronics from SGSITS, Indore, India in 2004. He has also received Ph.D degree on "Studies on Hybrid Optical Amplifiers and Gratings for Application in the 1550 nm Wavelength Window" from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. K. Thyagarajan and Prof. M. R. Shenoy. Currently, he is working as a Scientist in the Advanced Materials and Sensors Division at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh, India. Dr. Tiwari is also working as an Assistant Professor in AcSIR: Courses taught at Graduate and Ph.D. level at CSIO.
