SPIE CSIO Chandigarh Student Chapter was established in 2016 at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh, India. We are dedicated for propagation of the science of light in the society by organizing various events to encourage students across schools and colleges to pursue Scientific and Technological Development. The chapter has organized industrial visits, seminars, training programs, online webinar and many others.

We work with a vision to provide, share and explore the knowledge and opportunities available in the fields of optics and photonics.

The goal of the our chapter's activities is not limited to, however, technical events only. We actively work towards betterment of career and professional growth of individuals.

• We actively organize seminars by eminent speakers from national and international institutions but not limited to, professors, researchers and industrial delegates.

• Workshops and lab visits are organized to allow participants to learn interactively with help of live demonstrations.

• We also organize outreach activities to acquaint young students and the public to the amazing fields of science, and recent technologies.

• Non-technical seminars and activities are also planned at intervals for career development and non-technical skill enhancement.
