Research pathways to DOE National Labs

Dr. Qiao will lead an informal discussion, alongside a panel of undergraduate and graduate students, who were each invited to participate in the Sustainable Research Pathways (SRP) Matching Workshop. The Sustainable Horizons Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to building sustainable and inclusive scientific communities, has hosted this workshop annually since 2015, with the goal of connecting students and faculty working with underrepresented groups with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory scientists.

Student panelists include MSIA PhD candidates Baboucarr Dibba, Jeffery Opoku, and Julio Paez, MSIA PhD student Kristen Hallas, ASDS graduate students Martha Asare and Edmund Agyemang, and CS undergraduate student Arturo Gonzalez. Each student panelist will share their experience from the week-long SRP matching workshop, highlighting the DOE research topics and trends they found interesting.

All students and faculty are invited from any discipline, and refreshments will be served.
