About the speaker

Dr. Jinlai Liu graduated with a M.D. from Sun Yat-sen University in 1991. He completed professional training in Cardiology and Clinical Electrophysiology at the 3rd Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. Currently, he is a professor of medicine & former chief physician in Dept. of Cardiology. He has authored or coauthored about 30 original publications, 9 book chapters and teaching books of evidence-based medicine. Jinlai Liu has been a member of the ESC council on hypertension, and an active member of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and a vice chairman committee member of Guangdong medical association of evidence-based medicine. His expertise covers cardiometabolic disease, coronary artery disease, hypertension, rheumatic heart disease, and cardiovascular imaging.

How to exercise after long COVID or post-COVID-19 syndrome

Long COVID or post-COVID-19 syndrome affects COVID-19 survivors at all levels of disease severity, even younger adults, children, and those not hospitalized. The most common symptoms as fatigue and dyspnoea will last for months and longer after acute COVID-19. COVID-19 is a viral disease, and lacks effective drug therapies. While preliminary evidence suggests that personalized rehabilitation training may help many long COVID patients, what is long COVID? What are the clinical manifestations, the possible pathophysiology, risk factors, and how can one treat long COVID?
