Eric Tovar, from the Rio Grande Valley, is a postdoctoral fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Eric received his B.S and M.S in Mathematics from the University of Texas — Rio Grande Valley and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Texas A&M University. Eric's research focuses on the development of robust numerical methods for computational hydrodynamics.
In this talk, I will give an introduction to Los Alamos National Laboratory and discuss my career path which started at UTPA (UTRGV). Then, I will give a presentation about the mathematical models used in simulating complex transport phenomena.
