The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man Ride
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man ride at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Florida is a long-time fan favorite. Made in 1999, this ride follows a typical day in the life of Spider-Man in New York City. Riders are even given 3D glasses to help make the experience even more exciting. As riders sit in a motion vehicle they are introduced to Spider-Man and he warns them to go back home because he doesn’t know what the night will hold. But, of course, the riders don’t listen, and this is where they would walk in on various villains, such as Electro and Dr. Otto Octavius trying to steal the statue of liberty. This results in all of the villains trying to get to the riders while also fighting off Spider-Man. This ride takes it’s riders all over New York City and there is even a part where the vehicle falls 400 feet but Spider-Man saves them with his webs. Finally, Spider-Man manages to capture all of the supervillains by tying them with webs. This is not only the best ride at Universal but probably the best ride made by anyone period. This ride has won a variety of awards, including the "Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Award for Best Dark Ride" 12 consectutive years in a row.

A few hours later, Kincaid arrives at the hospital, where his father is about to die but he was able to make it just in time. Later, he talks to his wife about how his addiction to cigarettes nearly made him miss saying goodbye to his father. We then see Kincaid and his family as decades pass and then one day Kincaid spots Spider-Man in Chinatown. Throughout the year’s Spider-Man has always been looked at as one of the best superheroes. With his webs and charm, Spider-Man has won the hearts of millions of people. As seen in The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man Ride and the 801 Issue of The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man is looked up to and admired for the work he does to protect his community. No matter the circumstance, the people of New York know they can put their trust in him. Riders see this in The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man Ride when Spider-Man saves them from falling to their death and in the 801 Issue of The Amazing Spider-Man when he saves Kincaid and the store owner from the robber. In everything that Spider-Man is in, he risks his life to save others. He never backs down, even if the odds may be against him. All that to say, an important lesson that can be learned in these adaptations of Spider-Man is that with great power comes great responsibility. Spider-Man has a lot of power and his hands are very full from protecting the people of New York. Though all of this responsibility may be overwhelming, he handles it well and chooses to continue to put others before himself. This is what makes Spider-Man so special and why he is so relatable to all generations. He is also very relatable because he isn’t like most of the other superheroes. He is strong and can shoot webs, but he is in no way invincible, just like we aren’t. He is a superhero, but he is also very down to earth and is a genuinely good person all around. Spider-Man can be a superhero while also staying a regular person, which not a lot of other superheroes can do.
