My Journey with Spice Junkie Smoke Co.

Hi, I’m Doug Crann, the proud host and Top Junkie at Spice Junkie Smoke Co. My passion for outdoor grilling and smoking started as a personal journey—one fueled by a love for great food, a desire to explore local ingredients, and a passion for perfecting and sharing my craft with spices, rubs, and sauces. Living in Holland Landing, Ontario, our family has created a backyard oasis—a space designed for gathering, sharing, and celebrating good times with family, friends, and neighbors.

This space isn’t just about food and fun; it’s a reflection of my life's journey. As someone living with a mobility disability, I understand the importance of resilience and finding purpose. Through my cooking and storytelling, I aim to inspire others living with challenges to pursue their passions and grow without limitations.

Spice Junkie Smoke Co. is more than a brand—it's a community. I host everything from product demos by local butchers and outdoor grilling brands to intimate private/corporate events, eating & grilling competitions, and podcast-style conversations with community builders, influencers and mentors. My goal is to share honest, uplifting stories about food, wellness, and personal growth, creating a space where everyone feels inspired.

Looking ahead, I plan to expand with an e-commerce platform, offering branded merchandise and carefully sourced spices, rubs, and sauces from local growers. It’s all about supporting our community and sharing the flavors that make outdoor cooking so special.

For me, Spice Junkie Smoke Co. is about more than just food—it's about connection, resilience, and living with passion. I’m excited to share this journey with you and to inspire others to find their purpose, no matter the flavour of their challenges.
