Ian's journey in the fishing industry began in 1980 when he owned his own fishing lodge on the Isle Of Mull, on the West coast of Scotland. With over 40 years of experience, he has extensive knowledge of all aspects of salmon, sea trout, and trout fishing, from the smaller spate rivers and lochs of the West Coast to the larger flowing rivers of the East of Scotland.

In addition to being an expert salmon fisher and spey casting tutor, Ian Neale is also a writer, fishing guide, and photographer. His passion for angling is evident in his care for the environment and the fish he pursues. His expertise has been recognized on television, with appearances on the BBC’s Landward Programme and Sky TV’s Tightlines show.

He provides a complete guiding service, whether for single-handed rod casting or double Spey casting with the traditional two-handed spey & switch rods.
