This Privacy Policy describes how  Spendwiz collects, uses, and discloses your information. It applies to your use of the App and its services. 

Information We Collect

To provide and improve our service, we process the following types of information:

• Transaction Data: This includes information you manually enter about your financial transactions, such as amount, description, category and date.

• Transactional SMS Data (With Your Permission): To enable the automated transaction detection feature, the App requires your permission to access your SMS messages. Our system is designed to read and parse only transactional messages (e.g., from banks and businesses) to automatically extract details like amount, merchant, and date. We do not read, collect, or store your personal (non-transactional) SMS messages. The data extracted from these messages is processed and stored locally as Transaction Data on your device.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the App: We use your transaction data to help you track your expenses and gain insights into your spending habits.

• Personalize your experience: We may use your transaction data to personalize your experience within the App, such as providing spending summaries.

• We do not share data with any third-party applications.

Data Storage and Security and Backup 

Your data privacy and security are our top priorities.

• Encrypted Local Storage: All of your transaction data is stored locally on your device's internal Room database in an encrypted format. We do not collect or store your financial information on our servers, ensuring you remain in full control of your data.

• Optional Google Drive Backup: The App offers you the ability to back up your data to your own personal Google Drive account. This feature is entirely optional and requires you to authenticate using Google's secure sign-in API. The App only gains permission to access its own configuration and backup files within a dedicated app folder on your Google Drive. We do not have access to, view, or interact with any of your other personal files or folders on your Google Drive. This backup process is managed and controlled by you.

Data Sharing :

We do not sell or share your data with any third-party applications or services for marketing or advertising purposes. The only exception is the use of Google's API for the backup feature, which is initiated and controlled by you.

Children's Privacy:

Our application does not address any one under age of 13. We do not collect any personnel information from children through application

Your Choices

You can access and update your transaction data at any time within the App. You can also manage the App's permissions (such as SMS access) through your device's system settings. 

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
