Privacy Policy for SpendNote

SpendNote is a local-first personal expense tracking app.
Data processed:
SpendNote processes selected bank and card notification text on your device to extract transaction amount, merchant, category, timestamp, source app, and raw notification text.
Local storage only:
All transaction records and monthly reports are stored locally on your device. SpendNote does not upload notification text, merchant names, spending records, or monthly reports to any server.
Notification Access:
SpendNote uses Android Notification Access only for finance apps selected by the user. The app is designed not to intentionally process OTPs, verification codes, passwords, or unrelated notifications.
No analytics or ads:
SpendNote does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or a cloud backend.
Data export and deletion:
You can export your local transaction records as a CSV file from Settings. You can delete all locally stored transaction and monthly report data from Settings.
Security:
Settings are stored with encrypted preferences. Transaction and report records are stored in an encrypted local database.
