Terms of Service for Spendly - Expense Tracker

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Spendly - Expense Tracker mobile application ("Spendly", "App", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not download, install, or use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the developer, Ravi Paraliya ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Description of Service

Spendly is an offline personal finance and expense tracking tool designed to help users log daily expenses, categorize transactions, visualize spending patterns through charts and summaries, and export reports in PDF and CSV formats.

3. Offline Usage & User Responsibility

- Local Data Storage: All data, including expense amounts, dates, notes, and custom categories, is stored locally on your device (SQLite database).

- Data Backup: Because Spendly does not store your data on cloud servers, you are solely responsible for backing up your data (e.g., using CSV exports) and ensuring the physical security and passcode protection of your device.

- Data Loss: We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device damage, uninstallation of the App, clearing of app cache/storage, OS updates, or device factory resets.

4. Not Financial or Tax Advice

Spendly is provided for personal informational and organizational purposes only. 

- The App does not provide certified financial, accounting, tax, investment, or legal advice.

- You should consult qualified financial professionals or tax advisors regarding your personal tax filings or financial planning decisions.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (Spendly PRO)

- Free Tier vs. PRO Tier: Spendly provides basic expense tracking features for free (e.g., daily expense logging allowance, 5 PDF statement exports per 30-day period). Optional premium upgrades (Monthly Pro or Annual Pro) unlock unlimited daily expense logging, unlimited PDF statement exports, and custom category options.

- Billing & Payments: All transactions, payments, and subscriptions are processed securely through the Google Play Store billing system in accordance with Google Play Terms of Service.

- Cancellation & Refunds: You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Store Account Settings > Payments & Subscriptions. Refund requests are subject to Google Play refund policies.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All visual designs, interfaces, logos (including the Spendly "S" brand logo), icons, graphics, animations, source code, and software materials in the App are the exclusive intellectual property of the developer and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

- Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose.

- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the security or operation of the App.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Spendly is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be completely error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every hardware device or operating system version.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or financial losses arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App.

10. Termination

You may terminate your agreement with these Terms at any time simply by discontinuing use of the App and uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time without prior notice.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App following changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
