1. Introduction

Welcome to Spendly - Expense Tracker ("Spendly", "we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use our mobile application (Package: com.raviparaliya.spendly).

2. 100% Offline & Privacy-First Architecture

Spendly is built as a strictly offline, privacy-first personal finance and expense management tool. 

- We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit your financial transactions, expense notes, category details, or any personal data to our servers or any third-party cloud services.

- All your expense entries, custom categories, currency preferences, and settings remain 100% stored locally on your device in a secure local database (SQLite).

3. Information We DO NOT Collect

- No Account Registration: You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide your name, phone number, or email address to use Spendly.

- No Bank Account or Card Details: Spendly never asks for your bank accounts, credit/debit card numbers, UPI PINs, or passwords.

- No Location Tracking: We do not access or track your GPS or physical location.

- No Contact List Access: We do not access your address book or contacts.

- No Advertising or Analytics Trackers: We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, ad networks, or user tracking cookies.

4. Device Permissions & File Exports (PDF / CSV)

Spendly only requests permissions that are strictly necessary for the features you choose to use:

- PDF Statement Export & CSV Backup: When you choose to export your expense reports as PDF or CSV files, the documents are generated entirely on your device. The app only accesses device storage to save or share the file via the standard system share dialog upon your explicit action.

- Storage/Media Access: Used solely to save and export reports when triggered by you.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because all data is stored exclusively on your device:

- You have full control over your data at all times.

- You can edit or permanently delete individual expense entries, reset sample demo data, or clear all expense records directly within the app's Settings screen.

- Uninstalling the application will automatically remove all local app data from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Spendly does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect personal data from any user, it is fully compliant with child privacy protection regulations (including COPPA and Google Play Developer Policies).

7. Security of Your Data

Your data security depends primarily on the physical and passcode security of your own mobile device. Because no data is transmitted over the internet or stored on external servers, your financial records cannot be accessed via remote server breaches.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
