This Privacy Policy describes how Spendlify ("we", "our", or "us") handles your information when you use the Spendlify mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please read it carefully.

1. Information We Collect

Spendlify is designed with your privacy in mind. Your financial data never leaves your device unless you choose to export or back it up.Local Data (stored only on your device):

• Expense records, amounts, dates, and notes you enter

• Categories and icons you create or customize

• Budget settings and recurring expense configurations

• App preferences such as currency and theme

Information collected automatically:

• Usage and analytics: We may receive anonymous, aggregated analytics data through the app stores or third-party SDKs to understand how the App is used, identify crashes, and improve performance. This may include device type, operating system version, and general usage patterns. This data cannot be used to personally identify you.

• Advertising data: If you use the free version of the App, third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob) may collect device advertising identifiers, IP address, and interaction data to serve and measure advertisements. This collection is governed by the ad network's own privacy policy.

• Subscription data: If you purchase a premium subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Our subscription management provider, RevenueCat, may receive an anonymous user identifier and purchase receipt to verify your entitlement. We never see or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details.

Information we do NOT collect:

• We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, phone number, or any other personal contact information to use the App.

• We do not collect your location data.

• We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or photos.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information solely for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate the App's core features, including expense tracking, categorization, and reporting.

• To display advertisements in the free version of the App and measure their effectiveness.

• To verify and manage premium subscription entitlements so you can access paid features.

• To analyze anonymous usage trends and crash reports in order to fix bugs and improve the App experience.

• To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

3. Data Storage and Security

All of your expense data, categories, budgets, and preferences are stored locally on your device in a secure on-device database. This data is not transmitted to any external server.If you use the App's backup and restore feature, you choose where to save and retrieve the backup file (for example, your device storage or a cloud service such as Google Drive). We do not control or have access to backup files stored in your personal cloud accounts.We take reasonable measures to protect the information handled by the App. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to keep your device protected with a screen lock and up-to-date software.

5. Advertising

The free version of the App displays banner advertisements powered by Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use device advertising identifiers and cookies to serve personalized ads based on your interests, or non-personalized ads based on contextual information.You can control ad personalization through your device settings:

• On Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

• On iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Turn off Personalized Ads

If you upgrade to Spendlify Premium, all advertisements are permanently removed.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

• View and manage your data: All your expense data is visible and editable directly within the App.

• Delete your data: You can delete individual expenses or use Settings → Clear All Data to erase everything at once.

• Remove the App: Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.

• Control ad preferences: You can opt out of ad personalization using your device settings as described above.

• Contact us: You can reach out to us at any time to ask questions about your data or request assistance.

7. Children's Privacy

Spendlify is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will promptly take steps to delete such information.

8. Data Retention

Since your data is stored locally on your device, it remains there for as long as you keep the App installed and choose to retain it. We do not maintain copies of your data on our servers. Anonymous analytics and crash data may be retained by third-party analytics providers according to their own retention policies.

9. International Users

The App is available for download worldwide. By using the App, you understand that your information may be processed by third-party service providers (such as ad networks and subscription managers) in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. We ensure that any third-party service providers we work with maintain appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
