We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information from users.
b. Income & Expense Data:
All financial records and notes you enter in the app are stored locally on your device only. There is no data syncing, uploading, or backup to any server or cloud service by default.
c. App Usage Data:
We do not collect any app usage data, analytics, or logs. Your app activity remains private to you.
2. Backup & Restore
SpendIt provides features to export and import your data for your convenience:
Local Backup: You can export your financial data to a file (.spendit) that is stored locally on your device. You can later import this file to restore or merge your data.
Google Drive (Optional): You may choose to save backup files to Google Drive manually. This is entirely optional and controlled by you. SpendIt does not automatically upload or access your data on Google Drive.
Privacy: All backup files are encrypted locally using AES encryption. SpendIt does not access, transmit, or share backup files externally.
3. How We Use Your Information
We do not access, use, or transmit your data in any way. All operations are handled on your device.
4. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage Only: All your data, including backups, remains on your device unless you choose to manually store them elsewhere.
Security: The app is designed to use system-level protections available from Android 11 and above.
No Automatic Cloud Backup: There is no automatic cloud backup or restore feature. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data may permanently erase your information.
5. Permissions Used
SpendIt may request the following permission:
Storage Access (optional): To store backup files locally on your device.
We do not use any permission to collect, send, or share data externally.
6. Third-Party Services
SpendIt does not integrate with any third-party services. No third party has access to your data.
7. Children's Privacy
SpendIt is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and provided information, please contact us.
8. Data Loss Disclaimer
All data is stored only on your device. SpendIt and its developers are not responsible for any data loss due to device malfunction, app uninstallation, factory reset, backup file deletion, or other causes. Users are responsible for safeguarding their own data, including backup files they export.
