Thank you for using SpendWise. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled.

1. Information We Collect

SpendWise does not collect or store user data on external servers. All data entered by users is stored locally on the device. 

The app does not require:

• Account registration

• Login

• Email address

• Phone number

• Location access

• Contacts or media access

All data entered by the user (such as expenses, income, and notes) is stored locally on the device.

2. Local Data Storage

All financial records and settings are stored securely on your device using local storage.

This data:

• Never leaves your device

• Is not transmitted to any server

• Is not accessible by the developer

If you uninstall the app or clear app data, all stored data will be permanently deleted.

3. Permissions Usage

SpendWise may use the following device features:

• Biometric Authentication (Fingerprint/Face ID):
  Used only to unlock the app securely.
  SpendWise does not access, store, or process any biometric data.
  Authentication is handled entirely by the device’s operating system.

• File Export & Sharing:

SpendWise allows users to export financial reports (PDF/Excel) and share them using other apps installed on the device.

This action is:

• Initiated manually by the user

• Not automatic

• Not tracked or stored by the app

These features are used only to enhance user experience and are not used to collect or transmit user data. 

Note: Once a report is shared using external apps, SpendWise is not responsible for how that data is handled by third-party apps. 

4. Data Handling Clarification

SpendWise stores user-entered financial data locally on the device using secure storage (AsyncStorage).

The app does not:

• Transmit data to external servers

• Use cloud storage

• Share data with third parties

All data processing happens entirely on the user’s device.

5. Internet Usage

SpendWise may use basic internet connectivity required by the platform (such as app updates).

Your financial data is never uploaded, synced, or shared online.

6. Third-Party Services

SpendWise does not use:

• Advertising networks

• Analytics tools

• Tracking services

• Social media integrations

No third-party services receive user data from this app.

7. Data Security

All data remains on your device, and you have full control over it.

We recommend:

• Using device screen lock

• Keeping your device secure

The developer cannot access or recover your data.

8. Data Deletion

Users can delete their data by:

• Uninstalling the app

• Clearing app data from device settings

• Using the “Reset Data” option inside the app

All data is stored locally and will be permanently deleted.

9. Children’s Privacy

SpendWise does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is safe for general audiences.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated in the future. Any changes will be reflected with a new effective date.
