Hi! I'm Spencer.
I was born and raised in East Lyme, CT; the son of a musician and actress. I was fortunate enough to grow up learning a multitude of different skills that have shaped me into the multi-hyphenate artist I am today.
I am currently studying Musical Theater at the University of Cincinnati’s, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Though I consider myself a triple-threat performer, I took classes in Composition, Conducting, and Piano to round out my education. In my four years, I have written multiple musicals, Music directed and played in multiple pit-orchestras, and developed proficiency in playing the piano, drums, and guitar.
My proudest accomplishments include performing at Carnegie Hall, the Goodspeed Opera House, and 54 below. Some of my favorite roles are Chad in All Shook Up (Mac-Haydn Theater) Anthony in Sweeney Todd (Black Rock Theater) and Nostradamus in Something Rotten (CCM). I was also fortunate enough to be featured as a finalist in Taylor Louderman’s “Write Out Loud” contest, where my original song was sung by a Broadway performer at 54 Below.
When not performing, I can be found writing music, playing basketball, or watching my favorite Boston sports teams.

"Spencer Stanley is superb as Chad the roustabout, putting his own spin on the Presley classics including "Jailhouse Rock," "Roustabout," "Blue Suede Shoes," and the iconic "Burning Love." Stanley never tries to imitate The King, though he does have Presley's swiveling hip movements down to an art form." ~ Berkshire Edge

"Stanley as Chad is sexy, with the right moves, the perfect look and a voice to match."

"Speaking of over-the-top, 'Nostraumdus,' the soothsayer who leads the Bottom Brothers astray - but just by a little bit - is hilariously embodied by sophomore Spencer Stanley. It's hard in collegiate productions to cast older characters sucessfully, but I never thought about that with Stanley. He nearly steals the first act with the musical number 'A Musical.'"

"His last role before he begins his university studies was as Nigel Bottom, Nick's younger brother. He nailed every aspect of the well-developed role and even changed costumes to dance with the members of the ensemble for many of the dance breaks, Mr. Stanley, who played Finch in 'How to Succeed...' with ELRT, was recently honored with a Stephen Sondheim Award for Best Actor."

"The triple threat actor Spencer Stanley brought charm and grace to the role of J. Pierrepont F-i-n-c-h in his 13th production with this company. He received a Halo nomination for his role as Skye in East Lyme HS' GUYS AND DOLLS and has already appeared on the stages of Goodspeed, Ivoryton, and 54 Below in NYC. This young man will go far."
