Ms. Paul teaches Science and English to her fourth graders! They have learned so much since school started in September! Scroll down and take a look at what the fourth graders have learned so far!
In Science, the students are learning all about seeds and plants! They are observing different types or roots!
Ms. Paul brought in a bunch of different roots for her students to observe! They passed them around the classroom and looked at the different parts of the plant!
The students also planted their own seeds! Each week they make observations and take notes of the changes taking place with their plants!
In ELA, the fourth graders have been reading Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo! Take a look at what they have done!
The students are discussing the end of the book with Ms. Paul. They talked about the events that took place, character development, and the mood of the book!
"What differences did we notice between Opal and the Preacher?"
The students are participating in a "Turn-and-Talk" with their partners to discuss what they have observed!
These students played a game with their Salve student teacher and answered questions about what they read in Winn Dixie!
The students also participated in a school-wide pumpkin decorating contest. Look at their wonderful masterpiece inspired by Winn Dixie, himself!
