Soham Chakraborty was born in Kolkata, India. He received the B. Tech., degree in Electrical Engineering from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata, West Bengal, in 2015. He received the M. Tech., degree in Power Systems from SRM University, Kattankulathur, Chennai, India, in 2017. He has submitted the thesis for the Ph.D., degree in the area of hybrid static converters for power quality enhancement in distribution systems at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata, West Bengal, India in Sep., 2023. He was working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Netaji Subhash Engineering College, Kolkata, India from Aug., 2017 to Jan., 2024. He has joined the Smart Power Electronics Laboratory (SPEL) at IIT Gandhinagar as Postdoctoral Fellow in Jan., 2024 on a project related to control of induction motor drive for EV application. His research interests include power converters, power quality, microgrid, electric drives, and power system analysis.
