SpeedTimer Instructions

Starting a Solve

• Hold Space (or touch and hold on mobile) until the timer turns green.

• Release to begin the solve.

• Press any key (or tap the screen) to stop the timer.

Inspection Mode

• Enable or disable Inspection Mode from the sidebar.

• The inspection timer follows WCA rules:

  • Up to the inspection limit → No penalty

  • Over the limit → +2

  • After the DNF limit → DNF

• Inspection length and voice announcements can be customized in Inspection Settings.

Scrambles

• Click ↻ New Scramble or press N to generate another scramble.

• Use Scramble Settings to:

  • Enable or disable scrambles.

  • Choose the puzzle (2×2, 3×3, 4×4, 5×5, Pyraminx, Skewb, Megaminx, Square-1, Mirror).

Editing Solves

• Delete Last Solve removes the most recent solve.

• Click the × beside any solve to delete that specific solve.

• Restore Last Time restores the most recently deleted solve.

• Add Time inserts a remembered solve anywhere in the session.

• Click a solve in the history to view or edit penalties:

  • +2

  • DNF

  • Remove Penalty

Sessions

• Clear Session removes all solves from the current session.

• Restore Session restores the most recently cleared session.

Statistics

Automatically updates:

• Solve Count

• Last Time

• Best Time

Calculators

• Calculate Cubing Average – computes a WCA-style average of any size.

• Calculate Mean – computes the mathematical mean of selected solves.

Full Screen

• Enable Enable Full Screen for a distraction-free solve view.

• During a solve, all menus and controls are hidden.

• The normal interface automatically returns when the solve ends.

Keyboard Shortcuts

• Space — Hold to arm the timer, release to start.

• Any key — Stop the timer.

• N — New scramble.

• R — Reset timer.

• Backspace — Delete last solve.
