Hi, I’m Lathan, a photographer and videographer from Waipahu, Hawaii. My journey started in 2022 when I picked up a camera to cover sports at Waipahu High School. What began as filming highlights for my school quickly grew into a passion for capturing moments that people can look back on and feel all over again.
Along the way, my work has been recognized with several awards that have pushed me to keep growing as a storyteller. In 2025, I earned 2nd Place for “Best Documentary” at Sakada Day, 1st Place for Music Video at Shoots Summit, and was named a U.S. Presidential Scholars Honor Candidate. That same year, I also received 1st Place Outstanding Documentary at the Hawaii International Film Festival and “Best in Show” at the Pele Awards.
Now, as I continue my education in Advertising and Sports Business at the University of Oregon, I’m driven to push my craft even further. Whether it’s on the sidelines of a game, at a community event, or behind the scenes of a story that needs to be told, I strive to create visuals that are both meaningful and memorable.
