SpeedometerX is a GPS speedometer, HUD mirror display, compass, speed alert, and trip tracking app. We respect your privacy and aim to collect only the information required to make the App work properly.
By using SpeedometerX, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
SpeedometerX does not require account registration. We do not ask users to create an account, submit a name, phone number, email address, profile photo, contacts, or payment details.
However, the App may use or process the following types of information to provide its features:
1.1 Location Data
SpeedometerX uses your device location permission to calculate:
Current speed
Distance travelled
Trip duration
GPS status
Vehicle-based speed display
HUD mode speed display
Speed limit alert behavior
Location data is used to provide real-time speed tracking and trip-related features.
SpeedometerX does not upload your live location to our own server. Location processing is primarily done on your device.
If you save a trip, the App may store trip summary data locally on your device, such as distance, duration, maximum speed, average speed, vehicle type, date/time, and related trip statistics.
1.2 Compass and Sensor Data
The App may use device sensor information, such as orientation/compass direction, to show direction indicators inside the speedometer, digital dashboard, and HUD screen.
This sensor information is used only to show direction-related features and is not uploaded to our own server.
1.3 Trip Data
When you start and save a trip, SpeedometerX may store trip details locally on your device, including:
Trip date and time
Selected vehicle type
Distance
Duration
Maximum speed
Average speed
Speed unit
Trip status and related statistics
This data is stored locally so that you can view your trip history inside the App.
1.4 App Settings Data
SpeedometerX may store your preferences locally on your device, such as:

These settings help the App remember your choices.
1.5 Advertising Data
SpeedometerX may show advertisements using Google AdMob or Google Mobile Ads SDK.

SpeedometerX does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, call logs, calendar, photos, or files unless clearly added in a future version and disclosed separately.
4. Local Storage
SpeedometerX stores certain data locally on your device, such as:
Saved trip history
App preferences
Theme selection
Speed limit alert settings
Vehicle selection
This data is stored to make the App useful and personalized for you.
You can delete saved trips from inside the App where the delete option is available. You can also remove all locally stored app data by clearing app data or uninstalling the App from your device.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share limited data only in the following situations:
5.1 With Advertising Partners
The App may use Google AdMob or Google Mobile Ads SDK to display ads. These services may collect and process advertising-related data as described in their own policies.

You can manage or reset your Android Advertising ID from your device settings. You may also control ad personalization through Google settings where available.
8. Children’s Privacy
SpeedometerX is not designed specifically for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Parents or guardians should supervise app usage by children, especially when location-based features are used.
9. Data Retention
SpeedometerX keeps locally stored data on your device until:
You delete saved trips
You clear app data
You uninstall the App
The data is automatically removed due to app or device behavior
Advertising-related data may be retained by third-party ad providers according to their own policies.
We do not maintain a separate user account database for SpeedometerX.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by the App.
Most trip and settings data is stored locally on your device. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, including using device lock, updated software, and trusted app sources.
11. Your Choices and Controls
You can control your privacy in the following ways:
Allow or deny location permission
Change location permission from Android settings
Delete saved trips inside the App
Clear app data from Android settings
Uninstall the App
Manage ad personalization from Google or device settings
Reset or delete your Android Advertising ID where available
If location permission is denied, speed tracking, trip distance, and HUD speed display may not work properly.
12. Accuracy Disclaimer
SpeedometerX uses GPS and device sensors to estimate speed, direction, and trip information.
GPS accuracy may vary depending on:
Device hardware
GPS signal quality
Weather conditions
Buildings, tunnels, and nearby obstacles
Network availability
Device battery optimization settings
SpeedometerX is not a certified measuring instrument. The App should be used for general speed awareness and trip tracking only. Users should always follow traffic laws, vehicle dashboard readings, road signs, and safe driving practices.
13. International Data Processing
Third-party services used in the App, such as advertising services, may process information on servers located in different countries.
By using the App, you understand that such third-party processing may occur according to the privacy policies of those third parties and applicable laws.
