SpeedLet is a free Android app that shows your live internet speed right next to the clock. It counts your Wi-Fi and mobile data by day and by app, warns you before your mobile data plan runs out, and tests your internet speed, ping and jitter.
Download and upload speed every second, in KB/s or Kb/s, as an icon next to the clock
Total speed, download only or upload only
The network type, Wi-Fi signal and today's data in the notification
Today, this month and day by day, mobile data and Wi-Fi apart
Data usage by app: which apps used how much
A mobile data limit with alerts, counted from your operator's billing day
Export to CSV
Download, upload, ping, jitter and packet loss, against Cloudflare's servers
What your connection is good for: video, video calls and online games
Test history, averages and a comparison with your plan's speed
On mobile data the test caps how much data it uses
A minute of pings shows the spikes and lost packets a quick test misses, and how your connection suits each kind of online game (SpeedLet Pro).
SpeedLet notes when your internet drops and when it comes back: the last seven days on its home screen, the whole log with SpeedLet Pro.
Traffic today and Live speed, free
Speed test, run right on the home screen, and Mobile plan, with SpeedLet Pro
With the screen off, SpeedLet measures nothing and never wakes the phone. There are no accounts: your data usage and test results stay on your phone.
One purchase, no subscription: no ads, the game ping, the speed test and mobile plan widgets, a black theme and six colors, what's left of your plan right in the status bar, plans of 28 days or any number of days, and more.
They show different things. By the clock is what your phone is downloading or uploading right now: with nothing loading it's near 0, even on fast internet. A speed test shows the most your internet can do.
Your operator counts in its own way: its month may start on another day or hour, and with two SIM cards each operator counts only its own. SpeedLet counts all the mobile data your phone uses. Set your plan's billing day in SpeedLet, and with SpeedLet Pro enter your operator's figure to match it.
Ping is how long your phone waits for the internet to answer: the lower, the better for games and calls. Under load it's the same while the internet is busy, say while someone at home downloads or watches videos. If it grows a lot, games and calls lag whenever the internet is busy.
Android 8 and newer: Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO, realme, OnePlus, vivo and other phones, with tips for each maker on keeping it running in the background. The app speaks 20 languages.
