Thank you for using SpedPro. Protecting the privacy and security of educator and student information is a core principle of SpedPro. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, how it is protected, and your choices regarding your information.
SpedPro stores information that you voluntarily enter while using the application, including but not limited to:
Student names and educational information
Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives
Accommodations and modifications
Progress monitoring data
Meeting notes
Work samples and uploaded educational documents
Compliance dates and reminders
Personal Goal Bank entries
Transition planning information
Other educational documentation entered by the user
SpedPro also stores the minimum account information necessary to support Apple services such as StoreKit subscriptions and optional iCloud synchronization.
Information entered into SpedPro is used solely to provide the educational productivity features of the application, including:
Organizing student records
Tracking student progress
Managing IEP goals and accommodations
Monitoring compliance timelines
Generating educator reports
Organizing transition planning information
Synchronizing information across the user's Apple devices using iCloud (when enabled)
Providing AI-assisted drafting and organizational tools
SpedPro Professional includes AI-assisted productivity features designed to help educators generate draft examples of educational content, including IEP goals, objectives, accommodations, instructional strategies, meeting summaries, and organizational suggestions.
AI-generated content is intended solely as an educational productivity aid.
Users are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, verifying, and approving all AI-generated suggestions before they are used in any educational record, Individualized Education Program (IEP), evaluation, or official school documentation.
SpedPro is not intended to replace professional judgment or educational decision-making.
Information entered into SpedPro is stored locally on the user's Apple device.
If the user chooses to enable iCloud synchronization, information is securely synchronized through Apple's CloudKit service using the user's personal Apple ID.
Users control whether iCloud synchronization is enabled and may disable synchronization through their Apple device settings.
SpedPro does not sell personal information or educational records.
SpedPro does not sell, rent, trade, or disclose personal information or educational records to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Information may be shared only:
Through Apple services that the user chooses to use, including CloudKit (iCloud synchronization), StoreKit (subscription management), and TestFlight (beta testing)
When required by applicable law or valid legal process
SpedPro uses Apple's built-in security technologies to help protect user information, including:
Secure local storage
Apple-provided encrypted communications
Face ID or Touch ID (when enabled by the user)
Apple's CloudKit security protections for synchronized data
While reasonable safeguards are used to protect information, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
SpedPro is designed as a productivity and organizational tool for educators.
Users are responsible for ensuring their use of SpedPro complies with all applicable school policies and privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and any applicable state or local regulations.
Schools and educators remain responsible for determining what information is appropriate to store within the application.
SpedPro is intended for use by teachers, intervention specialists, administrators, and other education professionals.
The application is not intended for direct use by children.
SpedPro Professional is available as an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the Apple App Store.
Subscriptions are billed through the user's Apple Account and are managed entirely by Apple.
Users may manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through their Apple Account subscription settings.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
Updated versions will be made available within the application and on the SpedPro website.
The Effective Date at the top of this policy will reflect the most recent revision.
